StaffCounter programs for Linux, Windows, and macOS can record user-typed text, which, in retrospect, can identify insiders and people solving their problems at work.

The Staffcounter service is protected from the inside with end-to-end encryption. This means that the data reaches the server in encrypted form. No hacker who gains access to the server or an employee’s computer can obtain data about the employee’s activities since the StaffCounter agent records it in an already encrypted form. Data decryption is possible only in the Web browser of the manager or director, who monitors the results on the server.
